I really dont think they would make that big of a deal for a new mapping that is only giving 5whp more then the first one. We would be talking more about an upgrade then a stage two.

So that's what I expect too; 10whp. But if I read through what they say (and obviously cant say), I wouldnt be surprised if somebody at AA did their homework and looked at what private tuners make oversea. They get about 30 to 35 whp more then AA stage 1 flash. So if those german guys can do it, i'm pretty sure AA can too!

They cant confirm that and I understand why they cant. But I keep my fingers crossed.

My 221.7 whp reading mean about ~257bhp. Private tuners in germany say they guarantee 233whp/270bhp with stock components. So if they can gain 57whp out of their tune, I'm pretty sure AA can too. If I could reach the 300bhp with this car, I will be happy. But since I dont want to go catless headers, I know its pretty much impossible.

Your website says +15 hp, +12lb-ft for 328i. That's not 330i level.

Whp would be around the 202 mark which is the same as a stock 330.

Actually, 202 whp + 16% (transmission losses for manual transmission) would only transform into roughly 234.

And here's member's dyno with around 200 whp with exhaust only (the member considers the exhaust as giving no tangible power gain)...

Exclamation

Hello N52 328 Community,

Over the last couple of days Active Autowerke's has been listening to your requests for future developments on the 328 platform. We never anticipated such a large demand for a revision to our already great 328 flash after the release of our stage 2 tune for the 325/330.

It is my great pleasure to inform you all we will be developing a stage 2 tune which will be releasing in a few days with full control over the vanos maps.

Hope we made your day and I should have more info as it becomes available

No one really has shown what the transmission loss is or even if the BMW figures are accurate. 202 is very low for a 330 if it's a dynojet. On a mustang or dyno dynamics it's fine (maybe a tad low for the dyno dynamics). One dyno number doesn't say much on its own. You need to test several cars on the same dyno (not just the same make and model but the same actual unit) to really say anything about power with any degree of certainty. Also you need to have some control over the environmental variable across multiple runs. Don't forget, engines behave differently when strapped to a dyno. It's not the best reproduction of actual road conditions.

Many Dinan S2 M5 owners dynoed their cars and didn't see the advertised figures and complained. Because of the backlash, Dinan bought a new Dynapack axel dyno and fed climate controlled to the engine via a huge fan to cool the engine bay as well. They also used a different MAF sensor. All this so they could closely replicate how the engine would behave on the road. Even then it's still not perfect, but it's as close as practical.

I'm not sure how AA does it, but I'm sure that have a system down. Miami can get very hot and humid. The N52 just dies in this kind if climate. AA has been in the business for a while now. So this isn't really news to them.

We use a mustang dyno with 2 small fans blowing into the lower radiator and one large fan about 10 feet in front.

Comparing different dyno's is apples and oranges in my opinion.

Well, my real and only complain is - they should stay behind their product, not you.

Reflashes are only $100 at AA guys; probably even lower by a reseller.

Think I'd be upset by that, considering this was announced 1 business day after my purchase
