And with stage 2; no dips at all

So even with the manifold and a tune you get less than 40 whp gain.
Is there a dyno near jlevi (thats probably where i'm gonna get my car flashed)? I'll do a before and after dyno to seat things straight. I know that AA claims on their stage 2 tune for 325i's that they claim 10-15 more than the stage 1 tune, so I'm hoping for some bigger #s when i get the tune w/ this manifold.

Nice can't wait for the dyno. Don't forget that it takes 150-400 miles to fully adapt.

Well then i guess i got a a bit of driving to do around the area i cant afford to stay in Santa Clara for too long (gotta head back to merced for school haha) unless someone can inform me of a place i can dyno near merced than I think the distance traveled from Santa Clara back to merced would help in the adaptive process.

I used to own honda prelude, and its vtec was brilliant. It was accord's thing.

Is this dip typical for anybody with just-a-manifold swap, or some have it, but some do not?

From what I remember with JUST the manifold swap on the 325i (no tune), the dip is common. I think e90pilot had it also, before he got his car flashed. I have an auto, so I rarely noticed the dip, since 90% of the time, you are driving below 3500rpm, and when you put your foot down, it will usually kick down above that point. but using Manual mode or if you have a 6MT, you'll notice it a lot more.

I'm also currently building a high compression 2.0L Integra R motor for my 89 hatchback (track car). Going with all the typical goodies - pistons, cams, manfild, 66mm throttle body, RDX injectors, hondata, etc. Should put out nearly as much power as my AA flashed E90, lol.

I had the dips even after stage 1. They are common since its the actuators opening up and it took some time to the DME to adjust the A/F mix.

Now with stage two, these dips seems less noticeable. We will see on the stage 2 dyno sheet.

If they are still somehow noticeable, I'll probably will wait for stage 2 for 328i and skip the manifold.

Why is everyone still saying they're waiting for stage 2 for the 328i? Andrew already said it is available and shipping.

I spoke to Andrew about this and the adaptation only affects partial throttle applications, not WOT.
The WOT is a completely different map than the others and isn't affected so you can literally dyno your car before, install the AA tune and dyno it immediately after and you should get the proper gains.
Of course the dyno run is at WOT.

Andrew did say the overall drivability and adaptation will take several days, but it will get better.

Andrew, can you confirm that the stage 2 for the 328i is complete? If so, will it be able to make use of the 3-Stage IM?

So did you get stage 1 or stage 2 with the simon tool?... When I talked to Andrew on the phone he seemed to have mentioned the simon tool ships with stage 2 even for the 328s

quick question about the simon tool, besides being able to flash the car yourself. when updates are made available for our cars (say in the future a stage 3 tune or whatever), would one be able to download the file onto the simon tool themselves and update their car? if so, is there an additional fee to for this?

Well, its official, there are no dyno places within 3 hours of me. I wanted to get some results for you guys (myself really lol), but no luck. Maybe I can justify the trip when my headers come in...

What I can say is over the last 500 miles my car feels better than it did when I first flashed it. With the manifold swap and tune the torque has smoothed out to where I dont feel any dips or peaks during acceleration. From 2700 rpm to redline is a steady pull that will put you back in your seat. Mid range torque is great with the change of throttle mapping that the tune gives you. Before if felt very laggy, but now its immediate. The biggest change is actually around 4200-4500 rpm, where the car literally throws you back in your seat. Cruising at 60-70 mph and punch it in D or DS you will have a huge smile on your face.

Total cost for this mod...
$400 for three stage manifold
$800 tune and flash tool
$1200 total for what feels like a totally different car. Well worth it.

Regardless the 328 still works very well with and without a stage 3 manifold and our software.

You will get free map updates when you purchase our simon tool.

Purchasing before Feb 12th will save you a couple bucks as well
Ya, this is what andrew said in the sponsor section
