Several more questions.
With the stock 328i, the normal D drive mode is lame, throttle lag and gear shift too soon. With the DS (sport mode) the throttle lag is reduced, and the gear holds longer, though improvement can still be made obviously. With the AA tune, I assume the D drive mode is more lively and sportier, but what about the DS mode? Is it even different, or useful anymore? Also what about the manual mode? The stock manual mode has the unpleasant gear shift delay. Does the AA tune improve on that too? |

Could you answer my question about future updates and pricing for current users? With the JBx’s for 335’s it’s easy to pull the old software/hardware and sell it to help offset the price of the new version. But with us N52 folk, we can’t sell anything. So paying $400 the first time then another $400 or more for a modest update sounds painful.

Do additional maps (say we get intake / exhaust later and want a remap, but purchase the combo TODAY with stock everything) cost extra?

just went today to bimmersport automotive to get my ECU read. Tomorrow i am getting my tune.
What can this device do, if i already have the tune? will i be able to switch between stock and AA tune just out of my garage? make map upgrades? thx in advance

i got a 06 328xi with dinan exhaust, air intake and K&N airfilter,
I am about an hour from Turner Motorsports in MA , so do I contact them regarding this and what info do I need to provide them with. I am not super car savvy so don't want to get there and then not know what I want, or is this pretty straightforward with prebuilt maps ready to go. and when would a dealer visit/service result in my flash being deleted and what would be the cost to have it reflashed by the dealer, you said in the thread just the service fee? can i assume the labor on this would be 1/2 hour or less. ? thanks |

This is great because I always wanted to get the AA tune but the dealer was too far from where I lived..
QUESTION: I have a 328i coupe.. do you guys have a tune for the n51 SULEV which comes with the 3-stage manifold? |

Hey Andrew, i was interested in this Simon tool as it seems to be a good bang for the buck. So how do i start, do i need a tune and then the tool? How do you get my base settings? I'm local so i could drop by, i would like to load a good flash now with a stock car then later on be able to add more parts(intake, exhaust) into the tune by using the Simon tool, is this possible? Thanks

Can you speak to the long term effects of the tune?
Will it adapt over time and become the way it was from the factory (stock) or is your flash replacing code that bmw put in and it is a different DME? How will the tune affect long term reliability and performance of the N52? Just curious. |
