I put some mile after resetting....this AA tune is no joke, loving it

I have a question with this tune installed , can it be noticed by BMW? , and can it be erased,if they do any resets in the car ?

If so would it make sense to just buy the tune device ?


Wil this tune void any of my warranties ?

buy the simon tool to flash back to stock if needed
it does sound expensive for the tool..but its worth it

Hmm I wonder if I have to reset adaptations for my car as well. The tune hasn't been playing well with my car either, although the last file that they gave me was a bit better.

So how many times I can flash the ECU ? BMW engineers said there is a limitation at atround 25 times.

if you need to flash your ecu 25 times than you might have some serious issues...just saying

Just bringing this back. For the people who had some hiccups, how is the tune working out now?

Also, eventually when I get this I am planning on getting a battery tender to hook up while I am flashing. That should work right? I have a 2008 and the battery seems strong but I don't want to take any chances.

i got a battery maintainer (black & decker 12v) for $23 on amazon...just plug it into the cig lighter
tune is great, manifold still sitting in the garage hahaha

I don't track it, but here's an estimate of fuel economy with 3stage intake manifold and AA tune:
My place to work - 24mpg (35 miles each way)
Girlfriend's place to work - 19mpg (1 mile each way. What warm up? There are more than two gears?)
Round trip to Boston - 26mpg (about 180 miles each way, no driving in Boston other than parking in Somerville)

I'd say for short, around town, I probably lost a bit. On the highway, I gained a bit. Typically on the highway I leave it at 80mph, which is realistically 76 or so. Vermont has 10% ethanol.

A couple of years ago I got gas in Maryland without ethanol, and drove to Vermont with a car packed full of crap and got 34mpg. Not going to see that again.

Same here for the stage 2 tune. Getting ready to hit 50k, want a little more pep but don't want to have to prematurely replace coil packs, etc. Been kicking it around forever.
