I don't track it but push it on back roads whenever possible. I have 330i, DINAN CAI, TB, and exhaust. The throttle response is soooo much better than stock, read "linear". On back roads I put it in 3rd and forget about it. The tq curve is much improved and there is no more hesitation between stage 2 and 3 or around 35-4000 rpm. The power increase is not huge but it is easily noticeable. The car is faster off the line and it picks up speed much faster than stock. On the highway I can easily overtake just about any car in the 5th comfortably and in the 4th it pulls like a beast north of 3.5K rpm. The mpg in town is the same as before or around 18 mpg. With a/c on it drops to btw 17.5-17.8. This is one of my fav mods. Highly recommended and the best mod for your buck! Kudos to AA team!!

Girlfriend's place to work - 19mpg (1 mile each way. What warm up? There are more than two gears?)
Round trip to Boston - 26mpg (about 180 miles each way, no driving in Boston other than parking in Somerville)

I'd say for short, around town, I probably lost a bit. On the highway, I gained a bit. Typically on the highway I leave it at 80mph, which is realistically 76 or so. Vermont has 10% ethanol.

A couple of years ago I got gas in Maryland without ethanol, and drove to Vermont with a car packed full of crap and got 34mpg. Not going to see that again.
How was the complexity of the 3 stg im install? Did u feel more gains after the stg iii or after aa tune?

I have no doubts there's improvement, my concern is when you're driving the car at the limit for extended periods, if anyone consequently had issues.

I was at the shop to get it installed but AA said to wait until I get the 3 stage manifold. I will get it in a month.

To clear this up the 3 stage can be installed at any time before or after the tune.

Andrew that's true that you told this but your reseller refused to assure the result, based on AA advises.

Anyway I lost my window of opportunity so I will get the tune after the 3 stage.

Im sorry for the miscommunication I have since cleared up the subject within the shop.

However if you plan on having the car dyno tuned some changes can be made if needed.

Hope you get tuned soon

I ended up doing the tune first, then the 3 stage intake. I have a 325, so I feel like I got substantial gains on both, with the power feeling more refined after installing the intake manifold. I'm too lazy/cheap to dyno it.

It wasn't bad, per se, but it is time consuming and annoying. In the end I had a problem with a vacuum hose not being fully connected that I decided to let the dealer sort out for me. Double check every hose connection. Seriously. They'll click, but that doesn't mean they're completely connected.

As a side note, the manifold I bought came with an oil separator on it, but I ended up using mine instead. The poor 330 it came from must have led a neglected life.

The 325 has all the maps required built into the ecu since it is the same as the 330 ecu. It should adapt very well to the changes.

Does the 328 with stg iii im require a aftermarket flash to be compatible?

Noob question alert...
If you have a Euro tuned E90 and want to get the AA tune will it just override the Euro tune? or will you get better gains with the AA tune being added on top of the Euro tune...

Andrew,

Does the tune is octane specific? If I'm using 91, do I need to specify it?

Is there a group buy going?
