I presume you mean keke Rosberg. I would say rosberg and g. villeneuve are from a different era than the rest you list. but that is my opinion.
to stick with contemporary drivers... wait, do you mean of the modern era or do you mean... ok, nm, I drank way too much coffee today.
for me, surely 1 - schumacher, 2 - senna, 3 - alonso, 4 - prost, and my emotional choice 5 - alesi.

I'm a pretty big Mika Hakkinen fan. I'd put him in there somewhere.

Garage List
2010 135i Coupe  [2.63]
I considered contemporary to be 90s and up. I'm 30 so I have no idea what was going on in the 70s and 80s.

Senna
Schumi
Vettel
Hamilton
Alonso

Pretty good drivers:

5. Vettel (could be a great driver - too early to tell)

running a close 11th behind Nigel Mansel and James Hunt.

with these three added you would then have to think about Jack Brabham, unfortunately an awfull lot of great drivers must be left out, should I swop Gilles Villeneuve for Jody Scheckter, hmmmm

I agree, but to be honest, his lazy/sloppy face, is also his excited face while driving lol:

Senna and Schumacher are locks for 1 and 2. End of discussion. After that it gets tricky.

Alonso is probably top 5 material.
Prost was a GREAT tactician; he's not top 5 on driving skill.
Villeneuve was just ballsier than the rest.
Mansell was a robot.
It's too soon for Vettel, but he'll get there soon.

Raikkonen, Button, Hamilton are not close to the top 5.
