rotor hairline cracks

Are these shot? Visible under flash light only (first advantage to doing all car work late at night)

Those could be cracks in the pad material on the surface of the rotor. You can to see if it comes off by using a Brillo pad and brake cleaner. You may need a torch to heat up the rotor. I read this suggestion from the Racing Brake website. It's strange that you don't have any hot spots. The aside from the cracks your rotor looks ok. Take a shot of the rest of the rotor.

The surface cracks are called 'crazing' cracks, which means your rotors got very very hot. Its actually fairly normal to see on rotors that have seen track days. It doesn't necessarily mean they are shot. As long as there are no cracks across the rotor from inside out or between the drilled holes, you do not need to replace.

As long as they are still above min thickness for that rotor and as stated the cracks are not deep etc then they are ok.

Thanks everyone, the cracks are indeed surface only and the rotors are well within thickness range. Rotors are from brakeperformance and yeah, i'd say they've seen really high temps
