Before you do this:
1. Do it at your OWN risk. 2. MAKE SURE TO USE JACK-STANDS when you lift up your car. I didn't use it this time because I already did this before and it took me few minutes to complete. I did use extra support jacks when I... |

Thanks to your awesome write up, it made the installation a breeze. I didn't even have to jack up the car.
Here are a couple of photos. Thanks again! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the instructions (and pictures...) it made a world of difference.
The only bad news is that I think I should've gone with white (regular xenons) instead of the JDM yellow. Any suggestions which brand/type would match the HID headlight better? I know PIAA makes them? Any other brand? If so what's the best place to get them? Thanks!!! |

There are a lot of brand that makes hyper white foglight bulbs.
Luminics also make white/purple/blue bulbs. I can now vouch for Luminics because they are durable and last pretty damn long. You can't really go wrong with PIAA either. Search around a bit, there are 1 or 2 bulbs that matches the stock HID temperature pretty good. |

Nonjacking FOG DIY Pics
Great write up! Put in my MTEC Cosmos Blue bulbs today, I went and bought ramps, realized my car wouldnt clear them, and used a small block of wood and realized all you have to do is turn the wheel.
I unbolted all the bolts you pointed out plus one right where the top of my knuckles are in the picture with my hand/glove. Reach your hand through here and twist off the bulb ![]() ![]() ![]() |

DC516 ---those MTEC's look good! Seem to really match the HIDS! How do they look at night on the road? Trying to decide if I want to go Cosmo Blue or the Superwhites they offer...
Bimmer335i07 --WOW what are you using for the Angel Eyes? Those are so white and would look perfect on my white 335 ![]() |

NO NEED TO LIFT YOUR CAR. Removing the fogs was a cinch after removing about 6 8mm bolts. You dont even need to turn the wheels to get access to the bulbs. pull back the corner of the wheel well and the bulb is right there

Nice writeup. My passenger side fog light came unscrewed and was just dangling on the inside of the bumper
I'm not sure how it happened, but this thread definitely helped in getting it fixed like new! |

fog lights as DRL
Hi,
Do you think is feasible at e90, just go to the front fog lamps each other (without status indicators, rear lights)? I'd like to present a yellow h11-h11-es instead of incandescent and LED lights, and post-use as DRL, thanks ![]() |

I couldn't fully understand what you were asking, but if I understood correctly, you asking whether you can put in LED lights instead and use it as DRL?

the driver side can actually be done from the top.. you'd have to remove the airfilter housing.. you get more then enough space.. you just have to dive in a bit..
