Brake Light on- Dealer coverages?
Hey guys, the yellow brake light came on my car this weekened. It's an '07 CPO with 43K miles. Will the dealer do the brakes under the warranty maintenance or not? My friend's Mini had the dealer do rotors and pads b/c the brake light came on but that was a original owner new purchase with 28k/2yrs.
I actually have 4 rotors, clips and Akeobono pads and sensors to do a full brake job. But I wasn't planning on the brake light coming on the week I got my parts, talk about timing. If the dealer will do a full brake job I can swap pad when I get home.

CPO is a warranty - not extended maintenance. So since your '07 is more than 4 years old, no service (including brakes) is paid for by BMW unless you purchased an Extended Maintenance contract.

So no. I will do my own full brake job and reset the light. Thanks for the help. Now I remember... I had 1yr of "free maintenance" but I've had the car about 18months... so I'm SOL.
