[quote=JasonRussell;15296168]I had an LED LUX burn out on my '08 e90. I intended to just replace the bad one with the Cree but since they are obviously brighter than the LUX models, I did both. I should have taken a picture with the LUX on one side and Cree on the other but didn't.

Hi Jason,

I'm currently running the mtech v4 on my pre lci which are not bad. Do you know if these are brighter than the mtechs? Are they close to lci brightness at all during the day light? i think mtechs are brighter than lux in the day time. thx.

Whats the easiest way to install these? I want to do an upgrade on mine as I don't even know whats in them now (in retrospect I should have done this when I installed the headlights but I was too excited then)

Plug and Play like stock. No external Box.

There is only one way to install them and that is to get the fender liner off to give access to the back of the headlight.

Replace the old with the new. 2 wires. 2 screws.

Enjoy!

Installed my pair! The passenger side was definitely the easiest install since you could do it from over the hood. But the product is definitely top notch (especially the awesome pricing)

So how do these compare to Lux lights? What actual power consumption for the driver?

I.E; they are listed as "40W" but that can be misleading...if you are saying it has similar light output to a 40w halogen bulb...

Is it a 1 amp driver?

A comparison between these and the other major brands would sell me on them

I ordered a set for my '11 e91 with halogens yesterday. You can't even see the stock ones in daylight so anything would be an improvement. I'll take before/after and some comparison pics when I do the install. I'll try to make actual install pics too since there's been a question about that process on here. It all depends on how busy my friends shop is as to how fast I have to work to get out of the way of paying customers. The order confirmation says it went out "two day priority" shipping so hopefully I can get them installed Friday......

Btw...since I've wanted to see more pics of others who've done this, I'll take them showing different lighting situations too......outside in the sun, inside the shop, near sundown, the dark of night...etc....
