Stripped cabin air filter screws

Any ideas how to better secure the cabin air filter screws once they get stripped from the cheap plastic backing on the cowl? I have 4 so far.

Use JB weld in the holes. Coat the screw with a light oil such as WD-40. Stuff a small dab of mixed JB weld into the holes, insert the screw, and let cure.

You should be able to eyeball them at home depot/lowes. A quick & dirty fix, put some string or fishing line in the hole & reuse the screws you have.
