Yea same, Idk why its doing that. If I have the Item shipped within the U.S, how much will the total cost be? I'm assuming much less than shipping to Canada.

$279+29 Shipping = $307 to the lower 48 states.

I'd still like to hear the reply to this question... What he was getting at I think is how yours (standard two point setup) compares to the M3 one that many members upgrade to instead (which is a 3 point connection - like the OEM one, is a V shape, and goes back to the firewall).

A 3 point connection is in theory more rigid, but these two point bars add to the OEM bar, so I'm wondering if the lost stiffness over a 3 point setup is made up for by keeping the OEM bar too.

So I presume then by the lack of a reply to my question, that the answer to it is that the 2 point bar setup with the stock bar still in place isn't as stiff as replacing the stock bar with the M3 bar.

Sorry I missed it. To answer your question properly I would have to test both bars on a chassis rigidity machine. Im not 100% sure that adding a 3rd bar down the middle of the complete triangle is going to add much to the stiffness of the chassis.

Hi Andrew, thanks for the reply. Though I'm totally confused now...

The two options are

A) keeping the stock V shaped strut bar, and add yours (which is a two point one) to it, or

B) replace the stock one with the M3 one, which is also V shaped, but is a 3 point setup.

We've been asking which option would be more rigid, or might they be the same?

When you say if adding a 3rd bar (presumably yours, since that's the 3rd line of a triangle, when you keep the stock bar) isn't going to add much to the chassis stiffness, isn't that the point of us buying your bar?

Dude lay off. Dinan makes one and so does BMW Performance - both in carbon fiber. Obviously more than one company including one backed by BMW sees this as a performance mod. Sometimes there's just not enough space in the engine bay so you have to do a "V" setup. In this case, it's not necessary.

Look uf you like the M3 version, spend more money and go for it... but it looks like doo doo

"-CAD design and CNC machining ensure a perfect fit"

This did not fit over my AFE box intake on my e90 n55. There was no mentioning that in your description! I've emailed you but you haven't responded.

I would like a full refund. Please respond!

I did respond asking what Intake you have. We cannot guarantee our product on every aftermarket intake as its designed for a stock car.

Our fitment is spot on just like we have described.

I sent that email 3 days ago and you did not respond. I have the afe box intake. Considering how expensive your product is- there should have been consideration for that. Either way, it should have been explained or a disclaimer that it was designed for stock intake. Look- I would love nothing more than to keep and install it but it just won't fit. Right now it's literally carpet decoration.

A full refund is reasonable and fair. You guys are Active Autowerke for crying out loud.

I explained in our previous email a month ago how to return it when you had a bulging dent in your strut causing the bar not to sit properly again this was not a problem with our bar but, with your car.

You cannot blame us for it not fitting with the afe intake as it was never intended to work 100% with all after market intakes and it was never claimed to.

Fyi Here is a thread with our strut bar and a AFE intake intake Installed. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=833893

Then why not put a disclaimer that it is meant only to fit stock intakes??

Also, you can see in that picture how the strut bar is pressing down on the intake. Sweet design bro.

Yea- is there a better reason for returning a part for a full refund when it won't fit or bolt-on to the car??
