VAC Tips:

Why do you want a Quaife LSD?
Improved acceleration, traction and stability. Rather than using clutch plates as a method of operation, the Quaife ATB uses sets of floating helical cut gear pinions that run in pockets and mesh during normal driving. Should one of the driven wheels start to spin however, the helical gears start to generate a torque bias thanks to the axial and radial thrust of the helical gear pinions in their pockets. The result is a progressive transfer of torque away from the spinning side of the axle to the driven wheel, which is now capable of transmitting a greater proportion of torque. Unlike a plate style LSD the Quaife unit delivers performance without the need for strip downs and rebuilds. There are no plates or gears to wear or break and the ATB units retain standard vehicle lubrication.

wow , I should really jump on this but I would love to know there would be 10, even though the few extra bucks wont kill me it would give me more of a reason to do it sooner rather than later , haha

Honestly, $100 won't really make a difference I'm sure... But you're right, it would be nice to get another $100 off. I already placed my order... Get yours in, too so we can get this thing going!

Oh, I'm well aware you make them since I've been doing this: since I first stumbled across them in a 1addicts thread! I ask because I dont see black as an option when selecting to add diff cover to order on webpage you provided.

Just to clear things up, is this the group price for the diff installed or just for the quaife lsd? I have a 2012 335i manual (welded) 2000 miles. Can you pm me the price for using you the original diff and using one of yours. What would the difference be? thx

Welded - normal everyday price: $2,578
5-9 units sold: $2,378
10+ units sold: $2,278 (insane $300 savings!!)

My final drive core prices:
New core $1,400
low mile used core $900

Welded:
5-9 units sold: $2,378 +$1,400 (new core) = $3,778
5-9 units sold: $2,378 +$900 (used core) = $3,278

10+ units sold: $2,278 +$1,400 (new core) = $3,678
10+ units sold: $2,278 +$900 (used core) = $3,178

If you want to send us your core at a later date, I will give you $900 for it if it checks out OK

I'd budget 1-2 weeks for the build (given the anticipated GB volume). Then 3 hours to install it in the car
