BMW has Confrimed the E9x models will get the option to choose the new 16 speaker, digital nine-channel amp 825W sound system as found in the options for the Facelift 5 Series

This will start production in the MY08 models in September 2007

From reports of guys test driving the facelift 5 Series, quality is apparently up and Bass up a LOT

Personally, I'm not a big fan of thumping sound systems, especially if driving a 6MT (would rather hear the revs!)

im not 100% shure
Ita hard to tell from the parts system

i think the speaker in the dash and the rear door speakers each get a integrated tweeter, thus adding 3 speakers

The new sound system is better. I have delivered a car with it and the 2 new m5 and m6 both had it here. It has more bass and just an overall better sound. I believe its a $600 option.

I payed $1000 for the Hi-Fi system with 10 speaker that are standard in the US.

where did u get this info from? any other changes to UK models for 08 cos im about to order and dont know whther its worth waiting another 2 months to take delivery on top of the backlog already!

So would the current Logic 7 disappear with the introduction of this new system? I don't see how BMW would offer 4 different speaker configurations over the E9x range.
