For the people in the U.S. and Canada, there will be no upgraded sound system option besides the L7.

The lucky people from Europe, Australia or anywhere besides the U.S. and Canada will get the option for the upgraded system that is better than the L7.

Sadly this wouldn't surprise me especially after what just happened with the 19" style 230 wheels.

Is it possible to do an upgrade from the L7 with the new Sound system, or no?

If it comes with upgraded subs, it might be cheaper to just buy a pair of those and swap em.

Ok, bringing this old thread back...since some of you guys got your 08 E9X cars already, does it really come with this new sound system? If so, what are the exact specs of it? ex: subs, etc

Not in the USA 3 Series... it will be in the new US M3, though.

Actually you need to order Dakota leather + M-Sport package + one of the navigation to get the sound system in Europe. It seem's that there are very few reviews on the internet about the new HIGH-END system..

Not quite right. You need Dakota leather OR M-Sport package + business navi(606) OR professsional navi(609) OR BMW professional radio(663), which means that you don't need navigation.

This is according to my pricelist from September 2007.

2MD: is for M3 it's the "M Drive"

Okay, I was looking at the e90 list, not the e92. I found the 2MD code, but not the 602. In my list 601 is TV-funktion.

I just placed my order of an e92 335i via ED. How come i only have navigation option if i want the big screen? i dont' see "tv-function", professional radio... ect... ?? can i just order the big monitor instead of the whole navigation system?

AFAIK tv-funktion is not available in US, and professional radio is standard in US. You can't have the big screen without navigation.

They need to do something. The Logic 7 system is simply sad. My younger brother's factory system in his Mazda 3 sounds better and he rags me about it too.
