e92 LCI tails installed, issues with AE's? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hey all,

Last night i had installed my LCI tail lights and immediately after i turned my car on i had the "Left & Right Brake Light Malfunction". I understand that these errors are normal and ill need to get my tails coded. (thanksfully they do work).

But what i also noticed is that when i have my light switch set to Automatic "A" and when i press the key fob or use the handle to unlock my car, my AE's do not light up anymore. (and im not 100% sure but i thought the tail lights would illuminate as well when you unlock the car but they dont either). However, once i start the car they'll work fine. I even drove around at night to see it was due to my batt. being low but they still didnt work.

Is that one of the affects of not having the tail lights coded? or is that a seperate issue. I checked my Idrive and the only warnings i see are the Left and Right Brake Lights, nothing else.

How does the error look like on dash?
