E83/X3 Alarm Retrofit Need Coding

Hi Guys,

I need some help.

I'm retrofiting my Mom '04 X3.

I would like to know or how can I enable the Alarm

like....
Alarm Beep thru Key fob.
Enable the Sensor (Tilt & Motion)

any assistance would be helpful.

I don't know for sure about the X3, but I would think that you actually need a tilt sensor and a siren to get that functionality. E90's up til about 2009 were mostly prewired for alarms and it only took installation of the module/siren and coding to enable those functions, but you still need the hardware.

I'm sure he meant '04 and missed the "0".

But yea, you need to pick up the alarm installation kit. Tischer has a great price on the whole package I'm pretty sure. Comes with alarm module and siren/sensor. Don't quote me, but i'm pretty certain.

And yes, the E83 X3 is pre-wired for it as well. At least the '07-'10 is prewired for it; there's no reason it would be different for the '03-'06.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, typo it's an 04 X3.

I picked up the alarm the alarm already.

i'll be doing the install.

what about the activation of the alarm.

Can I program the alarm to enable and disable the alarm through the KEY?
