****H&R Race Spring Set w/ OEM Sport Sus. Shocks**** - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

So i have seen alot of E92 335i with the H&R Race Spring Set, and the stance is awesome. Most have 19" and very few with upgraded shocks.

so my question is, "how is the ride" with sport suspension shocks and H&R race spring kit? Do i really need new shocks? I am planning on staying with 18" wheels.

I can't imagine riding on that setup without a good set of shocks to support it....

u can run w/o but the rides horrible youre probably gonna end up buying them anyways

i've been ridin on that set-up for awhile, eventually the car feels fairly uncomfortable to drive and hitting even the slightest bumps make you feel like your cars taking a beating...

I had H&R sport springs and OEM sport shocks. Ride was absolutely terrible and had to eventually go the coilovers route.

I would suggest do it right the first time. With race springs, you definitely need new shocks. Koni yellows are known to go well with H&R Race springs.

This. I ran my stock shocks and struts for a year before my wife wouldn't even get in the car with me... and I hated driving it myself. I got Koni Yellows and love them, although the ride is still pretty rough.

Don't do it. Mine were fine for 6 months and I will be ordering Koni yellows on Monday. I can't take it anymore. I am on H&R sports w/stock sport susp.
