Cool New wheels!

Just ordered these from the ever helpful BM Autosport

Can't hyperlink the picture for the lazy amongst you - they're 18" CSL reps, staggered fitment, identical size to the MV3s they'll be replacing so no loss of ride quality and guaranteed to fit

http://www.bmautosport.co.uk/showroo...h=51_23_122_32

They were supposed to be delivered today but I've had to come into work so I'll pick them up from the courier depot as soon as I can and get some pictures up

Very nice, only 450 too.

I'm after a set for track days with sticky tyres, this could be tempting.

I've seen a few people buying from them now.

I've always been a bit "suspicious" on after market wheels, especially if its not from a "well known/ established" company like BBS, Hartge, AC Schitnzer etc....

But now with oem BMW wheels having a cracking issue, might look at some less "reputable" options.

Newbie/ Idiot questions:

Where are those wheels made? and do you get any warranty against cracking etc...

After opening the box, they're Italian. Very well packaged unlike the very expensive Felgens a lot of people had imported a while back.

Presumably a year's warranty on them, but who knows? I've not seen a report of aftermarket wheels cracking...

Cheers if I can get all 8 in the car I'll have them done by midweek, if not I'll need a couple of trips to the tyre place.

I'm hoping they look good now I've bought them!

There were a few 18" CSL reps with what looked like quite large centres and proportionally shorter spokes, which didn't look very good IMO. These look much better. Pics ASAP

I have 18 BBS CK's (900), which are similar in style and they look fantastic, far better IMO than MV3s, obviously much more money than these reps.

Although 19's are bound to look better, the ride quality suffers too much (I've tried 225s previously). Sounds like a great price, I wonder what the quality is like? Hard to measure really objectively. I guess you'll be fitting non-RFTs so won't be testing out whether they crack?

I think Ronal make the OEM MV3 wheels amongst others. They have a great reputation as a quality wheel manufacturer, I think it is just the suspension and tyre combination which overcomes the manufacturing tolerances.

I would think most people fitting aftermarket alloys are running non-RFTs
