328i Owners Please Read.

Hey guys i decided to do something a little unique. The 335i is an insane car, i honestly do love it, but i realized that there is not much on the forum about 328i drivers. The 328i deserves more than that!!! Just comment and post if you have a 328i and what you love about it.

yo newbie, real talk.

i have a 330i, and i just want to share that i completely agree. i dont hide under a rock like every other person on this forum with an N52 when some prick comes to flaunt their N54, like they will very very soon.

i love my car. i love everything about it and haven't thought ONCE about trading up, yes i said it, up, to a 335i.

while its superior, i love my car for what it is- not for what i could afford.

Well, I've only owned my 328i coupe for four and a half days but so far I love everything about it except its seats. I traded up from an E46 325Ci, so I'm getting a lot more power than what I had and I'm finding that the power I do have is plenty for my needs. Plus, my insurance is lower with a 328i than it would be with the 335i.

I do wish the 328i had a little more growl to it, like my 325Ci had. I haven't spent enough time with the N52 yet to get to know it, but it seems very capable. I can pass cars at will; can run up to 80 mph when taking on-ramps very easily to merge seamlessly into traffic; and can get around slow pokes in a flash.

One thing I have noticed is that I haven't had to push past even 5000 RPMs yet. The engine and tranny work together so well that it usually shifts below 5000 but it always has plentiful torque available.

If someone was willing to trade me a 335i straight up for my 328i, I'd certainly take them up on it but my 328i has nothing to apologize for. She won't win many races, but from a practical standpoint she can defeat the Honda Civics, Toyota Camrys, and Nissan Altimas of the world with aplomb. In modern day driving situations there just aren't many cases where that extra power the 335i offers is going to make a real difference. Granted, it's great to have but 90% of the time you can't take advantage of it in daily traffic situations.

I am very satisfied with my 328i. She is a step-up for me from what I had before and I'm very grateful to have her.

once again i agree. there is no car out there. I REPEAT NO CAR out there unless your willing to buy a super car that handles like a BMW on a highway ramp, the way it sticks to the ground is truly amazing. I love the way the 328i handles, and everybody says The 328i
is sluggish, they are 100% correct comparing it to a bigger engined, more horsepower, torqued car. But by no means would i call it sluggish, it is a very spirited car and is simply a fun enjoyable car that i love. I love every single BMW everything from the 1 series to the x6 they are all unique and have their own purposes.

just got my Le Mans Blue 328i M-Sport a week ago today and i love it. I had a MkV GTI before which was a lot more torquey but this thing is great to drive. you can really feel the 50/50 weight distribution when turning into a corner, compared to the gti which had most of the weight at the front it felt like it dragged you through a corner.

I especially love the interior, great quality and so glad i got Oyster/Black

I came from a 328i, and let me tell you, its a big difference but you get over the whole my ca is faster than yours rather quickly. I would love to pick either one of these msgnificent cars and it really wouldnt make much of a diff. The 328i is more of a BA cruiser/sleeper if you know what I mean

Not a 328 owner but mom has a 2010 328XI, its a great car for her, she loves it especially in the snow.... anyways its sad how some people down talk 328s when they forget that its still faster then its competitors (audi a4 2.0t and mb c300). The N52 is a sweet engine that loves to rev and it can hold its own against many, sadly not too many ppl understand that. I work for the loaner department at my dealership and you should see the look on some peoples faces when I give them a 328 out to loan for them.

I did plenty of times, on the XI's nothing really happens, On a rwd things can get fun especially when paired with a MT. There isn't enough torque to get into any real trouble. And also in case you guys don't know this yet all E9x's have somewhat of a 2 stage stability control, press the DTC button once and it lets you break the wheels loose but the system will still cut in, in case things get wild.Very useful in some case like when stuck in snow. Now if you press and hold the DTC button for about 3 seconds then the system completely shuts off and you will have nothing to assist you.
