Thumbs down European Auto Source (EAS) - 3 Months and Still No Order

EAS was running a Black Friday special on their Redline products. I received an e-mail from them advertising this special on 11/23/2011 at 7:27PM. I placed my order that same night around 8:53PM. My order consisted of 2 quarts of D4 Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid and 2 quarts of 75W90 Synthetic Gear Oil...not a very big order.

After a month goes by, I notice that I still haven't received my order so I contact EAS for a status update. This is what I receive:

I apologize for the delay on your order. During the Black Friday sale there was a massive influx of Redline orders.

We are waiting on another shipment of Redline which should arrive to us either tomorrow or early next week at which point your order will be shipped.
I'm a very patient guy so that response was fine with me. I was a little confused though because I literally placed my order a couple hours after I received their advertisement so this had me wondering if my order was shoved to the end of the pack.

So ANOTHER month goes by and there is still no order received. I send another request for a status update and this is what I get:

We've experienced a back order with some of the redline products. Your order should be shipping out within the next few days.
So now it has been over three months since I placed my order and I still have not received it. This experience has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I believe I am a fair and patient person. IMO, this just seems unacceptable and unreasonable. I've heard good things about this vendor on here but I can't say I have had a positive experience.

Sounds like a very fair and reasonable review of the vendor and the issue you had. Hopefully after this they will come through w the product or some answers. I'm assuming you were charged for the order, or not until it shipped?

I hope so too. I was charged in November.

Wow. Then that's ridiculous. I know it's not a lot of money, but still. They should've refunded it after the first "backorder" issue and agreed to lock you in on the price when the product became available again.

Have you actually asked for a refund or just status updates? It sucks, but they obviously can't ship items that are backordered. Now, if you asked for a refund and they didn't reply or said no, that would be one thing, but it seems like you only asked for status updates.

Yes, I asked for status updates. If you actually read what they replied with, you would understand my problem here.

That was the point, to clear the shelves from old inventory. Seemed to work a little too well.
