How many people prefer 6000k over 5000k d1s HID?
Obviously, we all hate the 4300k, but I'm looking to upgrade to something 'nicer.' I'm trying to stay close to the OEM look, but I may be thinking 6000k is too blue? I know 8000k is overkill, but I'm also thinking 5000k is not enough.
Anyone that can chime in, feel free to help. OEM is good ![]() Edit: I'm not buying cheap bulbs either. ![]()

I like the 6000k vs 5000k, more color and match up with aftermarket AEs much better.
5000K and stock 4300 isnt that much different.

Nothing beats 5000k paired with clear projector lenses.
All other things being equal, your perception is most certainly incorrect.

If I had a chance to make that decision all over again, I would definitely get 5000k over 6000k just for visibility purposes. Although the 6000k looks great, it projects poor visibility on roads at night. I'm getting old.. :

What 5000K bulbs are you guys using? The Philips ones are really difficult to find and it's hard to tell if they're authentic or not.

I would love to see some fit 50 watt hid ballasts in the stock housing and post a review. Thinking about doing this for a while. The light out put is supposed to be amazing

6k is the way to go. They're basically a pure white with a hint on blue. Visibility is great man
And with aftermarket AEs, 6k match perfectly

6k all the way! I just put some of Sonic tunings DS1's in and it was a huge improvement in visability and looks.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead.
Can anyone post pics of their 5000K and 6000K HID's? I am also trying to decide to go either 5000K or 6000K, but would rather make my decision based on pics instead of their word. Thanks in advance |

Be careful with judging by pics, the white balance of the picture can have a drastic effect on the amount of white or blue hue... just saying.
