Is there a way to adjust the Voice Command volume?

I used my second key fob, and the Voice Command volume is noticably lower.

The round knob near the CD insert that turns the radio off (when pushed) is also the volume (for the radio as well as voice commands or voice guidance). The volume is memorized by the particular key fob used.

The car has two volume channels, one for normal music; and the other for the voice commands... you can change the volume of the voice commands only when she is talking. If you want to turn it up, wait for the next direction and then turn the volume up. If you wait after she’s done it will turn up the music. :rocks:

I am pretty sure there are more than just two volume channels. I think the car remembers separate volume settings for each of these: the radio, voice recognition responses, nav directions, and telephone. All are adjusted in the same way (turn the volume knob when in use).

I didn't realize that info was stored in the key. Pretty cool!

That's what I have. Luna is my navigator and Rex is "the voice".

What do you mean a "he" for other stuff?

I only remember hearing the chick during navigation directions.

This would make an interesting thread: What do you call your nav and the "other" voice?
I haven't named them yet...

The chick speaks to you for navi, but the guy speaks to you regarding all of the voice commands.

And then there is an android that repeats custom words/names who has a very unsual accent!

LOL - love the android.

"Spell the street name"
"M-A-C-A-R-T-H-U-R"
(searching... list comes up with "MacArthur Road" on top)
"Do you mean 'MacGruqhdytadlllwtr rrd'?"

You have a man's voice, being helpful, confirming what you want, doing what you ask. (voice command)

And you have a woman's voice that just tells you what to do, where to go, giving you orders. (navigation)

You are corrrect! I never realized this as I don't use voice commands. Hate to hear the machine ask me if that's what I meant.

I'll have to try this today. I was running about 100 down the highway yesterday with the windows open and missed my turn because I couldn't hear a word the Nav said. I tried to turn it up but must not have done it at the right time. I'm just glad the car speaks English, it's nice to converse in my native tongue for a while, even if it is only with my car

I believe you have the option on Nav for the chick voice or the guy. If you go to settings you can find it there. There are no options for vc. I wish there was, the guy is annoying.

I'm pretty sure that both voices use the same volume level. So at any point in time press the voice button and say "Options", then adjust the volume to suit. No need to wait for a nav direction to come up.
