BMW Maintenance Plan questions
Hi,
I recently purchased a 2009 BMW 335i sedan with 33k miles (sport/prem/auto). It is a CPO and MP until 2015. I've never had a MP, so I had some questions on how best to take advantage of it : 1. How often can I go in for oil change? Can I change it earlier than 15k mi/1 year ? Ideally, would like to do it every 7k miles. 2. Having 33k miles, what maintenance items should be coming up soon for me ? thanks |

Your car will tell u everything thats scheduled when it needs to be done. The dealer will not do any maintenance work under warranty if the car doesnt say it needs to be done. So for your oil youll habe to wait till your car says it needs to be changed to have it fully covered.

You can get an "Interim" oil change for around $100 from a dealer. Just make certain they do NOT reset the countdown so that your next oil change will be free.
To find out the miles/time remaining to covered services, see "Service Requirements" in your owner's manual. It will explain how to access this info through iDrive or the OBC. Note: oil changes are covered once per year in the US if the milage does not otherwise call for one, but for some reason the OBC is programmed for two years. Tom |
