Brake Boosting from a Stop?
I go to the strip where I brake boost and get great 60s, from 1.6 to 1.8s.
I was just curious what everyone feels gets strained the most in order of harshest to least impact when brake boosting from a stop. TC Transmission Torque Converter Axles Differential Engine In order of harshest to least I'd say 1.) Transmission 2.) Torque Converter 3.) TC 4.) Axles 5.) Differential 6.) Engine |

What was the rest of your run when you were hitting 1.6 60'? Just curious because I was hitting mid 1.8's but getting 12.5 111mph. If I can 60' better I should be a little lower int he 12's with good air. Track prep was shit, but that doens't make too much of a difference for xi guys but I'm also on stock runflats.
I'd say trans and transfer case seems to be the things I'm worried about, but until something breaks I'm not sure what is going to go. In my TA I've gone through my clutches quite quickly so I'm always trying to feel if certain gears are getting lazy or feel like they are slipping.

Once temps get into the 60's, I feel 11s should be doable without an issue or at least I hope. |

I found to get my 1.6x, I need to not brake boost too long prior to the tree hitting green or else I end up in the 1.8 range. |

yeah i actually did my first runs in 100F humid weather ... a buddy of mine needed to get out so i just went too. It was the worst case i suppose. I'm a FBO with meth as well but i'm sure you guys are probably E92s? I'm an AT also... the car did not want to shift where I needed to from 2-3 so i lost a couple valuable miliseconds there!

I want to try a dig from 2nd but I can just feel the load is a lot for the drivetrain to handle. Also, the 2nd to 3rd shift kills me sometimes because the car is so quiet and then it bogs hardcore going into 3rd. I want good times but not at the expense of my car. |

I'm just FMIC, DP, DCI, chargepipe, Cobb OTS stage2 tune, on 93 octane in that run. I'm AT e90. I'm working with Jake from PTF to get a e85/93 map and with cooler weather am shooting for high 11's as well.
