I'm curious about this too - what are the differences really besides less mess? My co-workers invited me to play airsoft this October and I'm not totally sure how it all works...

I already looked at some reviews of stuff at PBGuy because they cover airsoft and paintball stuff but I haven't found much on actual game play....

I think it is more of an alternative to paintball. They still hurt noticeably but not like a paintball. It seems like you only wear face protection, so you'll definitely feel them if they hit you.

Looks like it's all about the honor system.

I play airsoft on a regular basis and belong to a team. Its kind like paintball which uses air to propel the plastic BB. It still hurts that why we have rules as to how fast the BB should travel like less than 350 feet per second, etc. Eye protection is a must obviously but we wear pretty much full gear with BDUs, plate carriers and the like.
Its like playing soldier as you emulate real steel tactics, uniforms, scenarios. https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=nepaairsoft

Um yeah. Doesn't even work in paintball when people are wiping paint or refs don't catch a hit.

Best way is to keep tagging them until they raise their hands

Airsoft looks like so much fun. Ive been trying Paintball a few times, really liked it, Im actually considering buying myself a marker. But, this video got my eyes on Airsoft.
I love to do research and buy new best stuff to my hobbies, yes and the same goes with cars lol. So, has anyone in here have experience with both Airsoft and Paintball? If so, what do you prefer? And what gear should I buy? Ive found a few paintball review sites, But would be nice to get some tips from a "real" person aswell.
