i think an aero lip would make a HUGE difference though

and it's not extremely expensive

looks good either way though!

It was tricky. I had PM'd a guy who did his friends convertible and he had issues with it.

I basically did half of the back. When the top is up the whole thing seems black. But when the top is down, I left the inner part silver. It was just too difficult to get the contour of the trim, AND the curve from side to side.

Ill try to get some pics of what I did for you.

Thanks!

Here's some updated pics. Since the shadow trim last year I've added Lux, Aero Lip, M3 spoiler, 35% tint, and smoked sidemarker.

Next on the list is M-sport rear, IS diffuser, and Euro LCI tails

Lip install:

thanks finally did get a lip put on. You're right, huge difference. Got it used from a member already painted, shipped for $335. Not expensive at all. New would have been 500+ after paint and everything

cars looking great!

cosmetically our rides look pretty similar... feelin everything you've done to it! although I do think you should throw an Mtech front, but I guess Im biased.

If I ever get into a mild collision and need a new bumper I think I'll go msport up front. But for now I like how cheap and yet aggressive the aero lip is. First bumper I change will be the rear to Msport + IS diffuser. You have a link to pics of your car?

lol no worries, thanks a lot.

I've since added M3 sides, Mtech rear, dual exhaust conversion, Duke Dynamics CF diffuser, LCI tails and some other things I'm probably forgetting.

Here's a pic of the rear

It looks amazing in person and totally changes the cars presence imo. Ive been staring at it a lot more lately lol. There's two strips that I'd like to redo at some point because the x-acto wasn't as sharp as it probably needed to be and trimming exposed bits of silver in small spots on a couple.

The pictures aren't great as I left my camera at school and took them in bad lighting in the driveway. iphone shots for now.

Here it is with the wheels freshly on

After a wash

And as of now

(my faovrite angle of the car)

I don't think it "needs" anything else right now

I'd love to add the aero lip, m3 sids, performance rear and some type of OSS headlight but those are just wants that aren't likely in the near future. Definitely won't drop as the sport suspension is nice enough imo and don't want to sacrifice any more clearance, especially if a lip is added.

***UPDATE*** 1/19/13

Since the thread was bumped I decided to toss up a new pic. Since the Vinyl Trim I have added OEM Aero Lip, Lux V3, M3 Spoiler, 35% Tint, and smoked sidemarkers.

Next up is M-sport rear and IS diff, followed by Euro LCI tails.

Euro LCI Tails FTW! I have them on my car. People tell me all the time that they love the Amber blinker I think it looks unique as well!

I see you have an 09, did you have to upgrade to FRM3 for those Euro LCIs?
