Radio Readiness question
I've been using the good old search feature but I may be overlooking this. Also called my local BMW service person who tells me I'm out of luck.
On the "radio readiness" it shuts off within 5 minutes of pushing the ignition button. One of my favorite things to do is hang out in the garage and detail the car. While I do this I listen to the satellite radio, but man it's obnoxious for that radio to turn off every five minutes. Is this a coding related issue...meaning do I have to have it re-coded to stop turning off or is there a way to extend the delay time using the Idrive? I've read over the manual and it's very limited in info, with nothing detailing how to overcome this "feature". My BMW tech gave me the talk about how the car is just saving me from a dead battery, but come on the battery s good enough for an hr or two just listening to the radio. This is the first car I've ever owned that won't let you enjoy the radio while sitting in the car. It's also proving a PITA when I'm downloading cd's to my hard drive. Any help would be much appreciated! |
