In-car video with my DE instructor last weekend

I'm waiting for pics to be sent to post about my DE experience June 9 and 10 at Gateway International Raceway, but in the meantime I had the pleasure of taking this ride with my instructor in his e30 M3 race car.

Puckering is the word.
The decreasing radius and the road going off camber at the exit is crazy.
Seen many a dust storm, of people going off there.

Streets and the new Horse Thief Mile are alot of fun.
When Audi Club or BMWCCA does an event, you'll have to drive down for it.

I plan on coming up to Infineon or Laguna this fall for sure.

I look forward to seeing your pictures. I really enjoyed the video - the car sounds great. All those concrete walls make me nervous though!

I was teaching at Infineon in Sonoma..and my student got wacky at the turn in for turn #1 in the old configuration (2.5 years ago)..we rotated around 180 degrees...wet pavement..and hit the wall on my side..and we were going backwards...lots of walls to hit at Infineon

Since you enjoyed, this one is even funnier from the same DE but I was not along for this ride. It is entitled "How many laps to lap a Mini..."

http://www.collaborating.net/M3/Trac...une07/mini.wmv

Pics are on the way, I have them but I have to reduce the file sizes.

I wonder what equivalent engine RPM that is we're hearing? 80,000 RPM?

Picking on a poor Mini, how shameful...

I don't know how you instructors do it. Lots of sedatives and Dramamine is my guess!

That was nice! Amazing how much faster you guys were able to take the turns when they were clear of the other cars. Any still photos of the camera car?

Great vid...how fast were you going in the straight sections, i.e., what was the top speed reached? Was the instructor the car in front of you?

Nice vid and smooth driving. Your car prefers the low line on the oval? What was the HP of the E36 in front of you? Impressive that you keep up.

I think the OP was showing video from his instructors E30 M3 race car..following an E36 M3 race car...his 335 film on the track is not ready for primetime yet.

Correct, I was in his e30 M3 race car following an e36 M3 race car.

Here's some pics from the event:

http://www.chillybanana.com/pictures...lbum=48&page=4

I posted Page 4 first since my blue 335i sedan is there. Pics of the race cars and Hulk Hogan Jr's drift car can also be seen if you go through the 9 pages.

Still don't have mine cut down to size, I have tonight free though...
