I believe it's very comparable to the BMW Performance Exhaust as far as sound goes - perhaps someone that has heard both side-by-side in person can chime in.

Here's a link to our current special on the BMW Performance Exhaust Systems for the E9X 3 Series. The prices on these were just recently reduced and are set as low as we can offer.

Id like to hear a comparison of the IS muffler to the performance exhaust.

Or even like to hear a 335i with the IS muffler on it, since ive heard that simply putting the muffler on doesnt make it sound exactly like an IS.

Recently replaced the stock muffler on my 2008 E90 335i (Sport) with the 335is muffler. There is definitely a difference in sound. Downshifting is music to my ears. Throaty (to high) at acceleration without any of back-fire and/or rumbling during deceleration. No drone at steady freeway speed.

I purchased the muffler from a forum member. He replaced the original black tips with aftermarket; then removed them during the sale. I used my stock.

Overall, I am very happy with the modification! The muffler added the sporty yet sophisticated sound.

Note: I performed the 335i Exhaust Sound Mod.

I just switched to an IS and I can tell you the exhaust note is definitely different...it is very throaty and at low RPMs it is just damn sexy.

The prices shown on our specials pages are currently incorrect. A bug in our software has removed all of our discounts in our specials catalogs - the company that makes our software is aware and working on a fix...it'll be restored soon. Sorry for the confusion, but the 'old' special pricing is still alive, well, and available if ordered.

is this with the IS mufflers installed? Because you don't have black tips installed. also, do you have and videos of driving or revving?

No driving or revving videos. I should make a few .

I'm very interested in what it sounds like on the road, and not just hauling ass (which is very important too). I drive way more than I sit around starting a cold engine Subscribed
