I was told these are coded to the car they came out of and they're unable to be coded to the new car it will be transplanted into? Is this correct?

Just a heads up, I don't think this will fit the 335 as the max speed / redline on the tach / right bottom gauge is different. This should fit the 323 / 328, though. And yes: you DO need to get it coded, but it should not be too complex if you get someone who knows what they're doing.

Also, it doesn't matter how many km's are on this cluster. Once coded for your car, it will display your car's km's (obviously, as otherwise you could just buy a brand new cluster and pretend your car has 0 kms). Guys, we're not in 1990 and this isn't a mechanical speedo from a Civic

FWIW, the red line on all N52 are not the same. My tach looks a bit different with a lower red line. I have a 323.
