Burnout before 1/4 dragstrip - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

A lot easier on rwd, but we could still do it right?
Thinking about hitting the 1/4 after I get meth.

I just know we turn traction control off to help, but what else? haha

Not a good idea. If you hooked up you'd end up shooting way ahead. I'm pretty sure an awd burnout isn't necessary at the track. I have an auto so maybe that's why I don't do it.

You may be right...... Maybe we don't need to do burnout before hand on the track..?

You don't need to burnout with AWD. I had no problems hooking up with a high powered Evo.

No reason to do a burnout, if you've got a lot of wheelspin off the line just reduce your launch RPM a bit and find the sweet spot with a small amount of initial spin as you take off.

+1 Unless you're losing traction and spinning when you launch, there is no need to attempt a burnout to warm up your tires. You'll probably just lurch ahead or break something anyway. :P
