Installation Black Performance Grill and Carbon Fiber Logo's

After couple of months it was time for my first little mod!
I ordered real carbon fiber logo's for the hood, trunk and rims and the black performance line grill. Because the carbon fiber centercaps were delayed for the time being it was only logo's for the hood and trunk and off course my new grill.

September 21st 2011 I could finaly install it on my car!!

Installation Custom Modified Performance Exhaust

September 2011 I ordered Performance Exhaust which was recently available for 4 cylinder diesels! Unfortunatly it was in backorder in Germany so I had to wait, what eventualy took 3 months BUT it was worth the wait.

Because I wasn't a fan of the thin inox exhausttips, I had the Performance Exhaust custom modified by a sponser on our dutch forum.
The idea was to have exactly the same exhausttips as a 325 (I know wannabe). But with my remap in mind...

So to make this happen they had to remove the original exhausttips what wasn't an easy job. To make the 325 exhaust tips fit they had to specially make two tubes which had the wright diameter (pic 3). After that they had to weld the specially made tubes on the exhaust (pic 7) and last but not least they could put 325 exhausttips on the tubes.

December my exhaust finaly arrived and everything was made ready.
On december 8th 2011 appointment for the installation.

After 6 months: Custom Modified Performance Exhaust

Youtubeclips sound exhaust

After installing my Custom modified Performance Exhaust I had to make some clips to check the sound.
It's still a diesel but I didn't want a heavy sound which is difficult in Belgium with our strict rules for cars.

I allready noticed that the sound has improved since I have done the remap!! The clips will follow in later posts!!!

Little Wintersetup and New exhaust Photoshoot

Meanwhile I also bought new rims and tyres for upcoming bad weather with following specs.

Rims: Styling 220 - M3 Replica's: 17x7,5
Tyres: 225/45R17 - Continental Wintercontact TS830P

So after having my new exhaust installed and installing my winterwheels, I had to make a photoshoot of my wintersetup and Performance exhaust. The pictures are a few out of the complete shoot!!

Drop on Kw V2 Basic Line

Starting a new year, I knew that I had to start 2012 with a bang so the first mod was a drop.
First off I wasn't sure what to take, I have been reading a lot on the forums about Billstein, eibach, Kw but in the end I chose for the drop which I had experience with myself: Kw. After talking to a lot of dealers I chose the Kw V2 - Basic Line instead of the Inox-Line.

As you can see on picture 1 it's a box from Weitec but I ordered together with a friend and they deliverd one in the wrong box (Weitec is from Kw). But as you can see on de pics it is a KW in the box and under the car!!!

After 7,5 months: Drop on Kw V2 - Basic Line

New 19" Summerwheels

I allways wanted to remap my bimmer but because they changed something in the ECU just before I bought mine I had to wait until they could "crack" this to do the remap. In january it was finaly done.

I made an appointment for my remap. On paper I have 163hp (in Belgium for taxes reduced 184hp) and 380Nm.
1st run before remap: 168hp and 438Nm
2nd run after remap: 207hp and 492Nm

Before remap they said that I would end up with 220 a 225hp and 460 a 465Nm. When I did the remap I had 18.000 Km of which I've done 12.000 Km @ 120Km/h (highway), so he said that was the problem and the car still had to come a little loose.
I have to do more sprints and pushing the RPM a bit more!!

By now he allready is looser, so I'm going to do a new run soon!!!

After allmost 8 months: Remap by PPE

Voorbehouden pedaalset

During the winter I was looking for new rims for the summer because I wanted to change my stock 18" 193M wheels for some 19". I've allways been a fan of the VMR wheels but not so easy to come by in Belgium until I have found someone who imported these from America.

I immediatly ordered me a set and offcourse some tyres with following specs:
VMR - VB3 - 19x8,5 ET40 & 19x10 ET38
Falken Fk452 235/35R19 & 265/30R19

After 8,5 months: New 19" VMR VB3'3
