E92 M3 Body Work On a 335i ?

Hey guys I know this may be a real dumb quesion .... but do you think once the new M3 is out we could order the front fenders, front bumper, and hood from the new M3 and they will bolt on the E92 335i ???

Reason I ask is I have came across some pics of a E46 330i with M3 fenders on it so I was guessing the same might apply here.

Whats everyons thoughts ???

I would rather just get the M3. I wouldn't want to have a poser M3!

I was thinking more the fenders and front bumper as Im sure there will be some tight aftermarket lips for the M3 front bumper. The fenders would be dope to actually shave the M vents off of them and use them to fit a wider wheel and mod the factory rear fenders like they did on the tecknic car.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a poser m3. Look at how many people with an
M3 that have csl stuff on their car. Their not calling their cars a csl. Me myself can't wait till the new M comes out so i can buy that wing. Simple but very nice.

Ok, here is the thing. Please don't take it as an direct insult to you, but there are some things you have to realize. Not everyone wants to make their car look like an M3 or just throw on a M3 badge for "status" symbol (and I'm sure there are **** who do that). The e92 335i has brought in a lot of new turbo enthusiasts who see good potential with this setup. BMW naturally a pretty balanced car with I-6 and twin turbo setup brought in a different crowd into its family of BMW drivers with this new car. I for one have never really liked an 3 series enough to want to purchase it. I've been driving Audis' with the turbo Quattro setup for sometime now. But Audi is starting to shift away towards NA and I saw real potential with the 335. Turbo cars can be tuned, and some of us really like doing stuff to our cars. That is not to say I am a "wanna be m3". Maybe I can't afford an M3, but even if I could I would still mod the shit out of the M3 which doesn't necessarily make me a wanna be CSL. This guy wants fenders because maybe he wants to put wider wheels on his car. You see some people just might actually want to do a single turbo swap and im sure in 12-16months you will start to see some 420+ rwhp 335s (maybe sooner).

But YES, the new M3 will still be a nice car. Will a stock M3 handle as good as a 335 with coilovers, forged wheels, front + rear sway bars, strut brace, race seats, roll cage+harness? I highly doubt it. To each and his own, everyone have different opinions on mods. Just because you drive an M3 does not make you an enthusiast. I've seen some M3 with big bodykits, 20" rims, lambo doors, airbag suspension (riding 5mm off the ground). You tell me that guy wants to drive around for the performance and not for the show or being a poser. Think about it, some people are here to share knowledge on performance parts and not trying to make their car into an M. And wider fenders could very well be considered a performance mod. I don't see him asking where he can buy an M3 badge, SON!

Just to answer your question. I don't know if its a poser or not but... Last I heard almost every piece of the M3 was made specifically for that car. My guess is that that the bolts, body and construction would not perfectly line up and you'd have to do more work to get it on than just attach them.
As for weather or not it's a good idea??? IMO no, but its not my car.
Why not just put an M badge on your current car?

i don't see changing the front end (bumper, fenders & hood) to be a problem, if u're willing to spend the money. but doing the rear will be difficult because the rear quarter panel piece extends around the windows, to the front of the car, which is gonna be a lot of work and money... and i think just doing the front and not the back will look weird.

That's a good question the OP posted. To bad so people see the need to throw the "poser" BS in instead just trying to help. I for one will put the M badge or at least M parts all over my 335i. M sport parts for those who need to be told. I would never put M3 on the back because that's real "posing". For those who have problems with my M steering Wheel, M-sport body, M doors sills and hopefully M3 side view mirrors, (if they will fit), when you start making my payments I'll listen to your opinions. Until then you know what you can do.

Wow, i think i actually got upset over this childish shit. Time for dinner.

hey guys i was wondering whether or not we can purchase the M3 fenders now? I asked the BMW dealership and they said that we can order just the M3 grill inserts and have it custom cut in.. but what do you guys think? my dad purchased his e92 M3 and the fender itself is wider but the length of it is just about the same; but the inserts require a little flare or at least wider fender for it to fit. I like his fenders alot, but instead of having a M3 badge, i want to remove the 3 and put smaller 335i numbers on it so it'' look like M335i or just 335i. I don't want to be a "poser" but the M is just to back up the Dinan flash that im going to get soon. can you guys give me a hand in finding just a replica that fits or perhaps give me an opinion? thanks guys!

I would think that body-wise, the new M3 will be like the E46 M3, in that bumpers/fenders would require some modifications...

It's worth a shot, but that is my guess

I would no think people who put on M3 bodykit on their 335i is a poser. Some people may like the look on the New M3 on their car. As long they didnt put the M3 badge, i think is cool.. Just my 2 cents
