Nice! I've had plastidip on my car for around 6 months and it looks the same as the day I put it on. Not to mention I live in Canada so it can definitely hold up against harsh weathers.

Question about the color - I was only able to find cans that said 'black'. No 'matte black' etc. Is this what everyone else is using? Original black?
For the sedan owners... did you open all doors and drop cloth the space so you can get underneath the trim? I'm thinking I'm going to go berzerker with the drop cloth/plastic and go overboard with the prep... I don't want overspray everywhere. |

I am pretty sure they don't have shine or gloss to it...

Wow man what a great step by step DIY! You've inspired me. I want to try it. I'm sure I can do it,just need to find the time. I may just buy the plasti dip and have the guys at my local mod shop do it for me

How did you guys get the dip to come off clean from the silver trim under the side mirrors? Mine did not peel in a straight line, and started to pull the dip off the chrome parts. Thats the only problem I ran into. I will have to redo that small portion again but want to know the best way...

Hey Andy,
I see that you're from PA as well. May I ask where you got your wrap done? I am interested in getting my top wrapped in gloss black too, but am not sure who does it around my area. Thanks! |

The plastidip wont damage my paint right? I want to plasti dip my badges only and was going to pull them off and reapply but some one pointed me here. Less work sounds fun, but I don't want to fuck up my paint

It actually protects the paint! You can peel it off years later and the paint underneath is fine.

I tried this twice now and it just won't go on right, and comes off extremely easily... oh well.

Is it safe to just put generous amounts of googone on a microfiber towel and remove it that way? I tried just a microfiber towel for my roof and windshield and while it removed some, it also appeared to smear some as well.. I imagine the googone is strong enough to work though, thanks!
