not one comment, not even "your asking too much". i will be putting it on piston heads ebay and auotrader in the next week to see if that drums up some interest.

Nice wheels on it, I'm in Leicester too. Not seen this one around. If you want to swap alloys before you sell pm me.

Glws, seems a fair price if I'm honest with you.

These were standards wheels on Si. Is your Si, or did you buy them separately?

it came with the standard rubbish 17" alloys. bought these about 8 months ago, they have avon zz3 225 tyres.

think they really suit the e90 (i actually prefer them the cls alloys)

Agree with above - don't think its too bad, just buyers seem very thin on the ground. Probably also due to the lack of extras, but If all else fails drop the price, everyone's looking for a bargain. I had several 'would you take £xxxx' emails from people never seeing the car. I ended up dropping the price to get rid.

same as p/x. once they have deducted fees and the un doubted knock i can't see them giving me more than £5200 for it. i can't believe such a good car is worth so little. well i can given the miles its done etc but it still pains me..............

i know what you mean its unbelievable that the values have dropped like a stone ,i think people arent taking this in ,on the forum lol they think its just my car ,someone actually told me i'd never sell it because it had standard wheels and cloth seats and since yours has loverly leather seats and nice wheels yet you still cant sell it ,and let me tell you theres quite a few on here that really want to move on from there e90/e92 and just can't off load it ,its just buyers have been scared away by many different factors like that stupid ginger woman who said you can steal every 3 series in 30seconds ,then the car tax bands ,mpg ,and people dont have any money or arent spending it

Looks a very nice car. Where have you advertised it? I don't see it on Autotrader.

i was speaking to a middle man trader last (he has a tiguan for sale im interested). he was saying its a buyers market no question. car values have dropped through the floor over the last few years. he does not sell cars in the uk now. he buys off dealers and exports them to order.
he mentioned a bmw dealer who he buys off, this dealer had a 1 sale on his forecourt for months. he then dropped the price by 4 grand overnight and sold it in 6 hours, moral of the story is, if its the cheapest car about it will sell quickly. otherwise forget it.

i've not put it on autotrader this time, i was seeing what would happen on here first. now i've found a car i like i will get it up on there

I recently sold my wife's Touran. I advertised it on this forum, babybmw, Pistonheads, Autotrader, and two VW forums.

It went on sale about the 18th Jan.

Pistonheads generated two email enquiries within a week. One never responded to my reply and the other was a scam. I also got one phone call about the car a week ago.

No enquiries from the BMW forums - but then I did not expect much interest

The VW forums generated two enquiries which both arrived by email last night.

It was advertised on Autotrader on the 28th Jan. Within two days I had over 10 enquiries and the car sold to the second person who viewed the car on the 1st Feb.

I didn't have time to get the car on eBay after listing it on Autotrader and never really felt under pressure to do so since so many enquiries were coming from Autotrader.

I had paid for a 6 week advert as well - bugger!!!

Despite the obvious effectiveness of Autotrader I do think they are expensive at £59 for that advert and I think its a bad thing that they have such a monopoly.
