Question Windscreen washer not working

G'day all,

E92 LCI windscreen washer is not working. Hoping it's an easy fix because I really don't have the time to go to a stealer for something so trivial.
Can someone help please?
I went to use the washer & there was just a spit of water that came out of the jets. I thought the washer bottle may have been empty although I didn't get any warnings on the dash. Stopped at the servo and started to fill the reservoir, only about 2 litres went in to full.
Got back in & tried again, nothing!
I can hear the electric motor working but no water out of jets. Tried for about 10 seconds thinking the system may need to be primed but still nothing.
Any advice or suggestions please.

Thanks in advance.

I had this happen. I hoped it was trivial too, but the local shop couldn't find an easy fix (pumps ok, hoses not kinked). I ended up taking it to the dealership and, as they put it, there is a filter deep in your car that sometimes gets clogged...a very rare problem but an easy fix...labor costs were killer though, since getting to the filter was a chore.. At least for my E90, they had to take my front wheel off (? ) and dig about since this is the very inconvenient place that BMW placed the filter.

This is actually quite common. I fixed it myself in about 5 minutes. There's loads of threads on this.

I just took the micro filter off, pulled the little hose off and stuck an air compressor down the tube, and blew all the gunk out the filler hole. Then just to be sure I put some hot water in there and blew it out a few more times. That was about 3 months ago and it's worked fine ever since.

+1 as everyone has said is most likely the filter.

Very easy to get to - 1-2 hours job

There is a DIY that I used when I was cleaning my filter as I was having flow problem with my meth kit VIA the WW tank!
