My wife has a FL2 and looking to trade up to an Evoque. Good car, great driving position. Steering is too light at speed, manual gearbox is shite, lots of body roll on corners, also sat nav is nowhere near as easy to use as in a BMW. The TD4 returns late 20s MPG.

Overall, would have the another one, facelift HSE SD4.....

Thanks Reggie, good to hear comments from an owner, loving the Evoque.

I had one for about 18 months and loved it! It was an 08 TD4 XS with the Style Pack in Martinique Blue. Cracking looking car I thought.

I don't know where 20s mpg is coming from, I averaged 35-37 and could get low 40s if I tried. Never had any issues with it other than a couple of punctures but that was prob down to having 19 inch wheels on (I think). Interior was nice with the style pack seats, half leather, half alcantara and fully electric seats. The only thing I'd have wanted that I didn't spec was xenons.

Yes there's some body roll but it's a bloody Landrover!!

The FL2 is unrivalled off road in its class, crvs, qq etc all don't compare. The terrain response system really makes a difference, just a shame it doesn't have a low ratio box.

I'd have one again in a heartbeat to be honest.

The reliability issues mentioned were on the freelander 1.
