If you are nearing a multiple of 30,000 miles, that is also known as an "Inspection". It replaces the old E46 Inspections 1 and 2 and consists of a number of visual, mechanical and electrical checks as well as a road test. Cost is around $200 from a dealer unless you are still under covered maintenance.
