Goodbye BMW

The time has come, I just traded in my 07 335xi for a '14 Regal GS AWD. The e90 was fun, but also terrible, while it lasted. Once we get a decent day I will post pics of the new ride.

Way more than should ever happen to a car with 70k miles on it. The last straw was when I had some coolant lines and the expansion tank leave me stranded earlier in March, I figured the radiator and water pump were next to go.

So you regret buying the first year of a new cars generation so you go do it again? Haha not being rude just making an observation. Good luck!

I can understand frustrating problems with your previous e90... but how is a haldex 260hp 4 popper turbo regal gs even remotely comparable? Not being a biased dick, I just wouldn't cross shop that car against my e90 if I were replacing it.

It's not technically the first year. It's been in Europe as an Opel/Vauxhall Insignia for a couple years already.

Who said I cross shopped them? If I wanted another overpriced small sedan I would have bought an ATS.

In all seriousness, I wanted an AWD sedan right around 40k that was fun to drive and had what I wanted. Naturally, this left me with few options. I didn't like the AWD system in the Fusion and Subaru was never an option.

Not that crazy, motor trend had the regal in second to a 320 in a test that beat out all others in the range. They look nice. And it's hard to not like what you get for your money on non-German cars, and now Caddys.

Nice choice. I've always given second looks to Regals. And now that they're AWD, that's tempting. Touch screen heating controls, though, may not work that well in our stupid cold climate...

My blower doesn't work (except on defrost) when it's cold anyway, so I think it's a wash. It doesn't really matter WHY there's no heat when it's -20F, just that there isn't.

The Buick is nice. Cant fault you on that. And I dont know what it is with the 07s but they do seem to be the problem child for sure.

BMW to Mexican made GM, i would of looked at infinity g37x if you did not want a BMW. i would never buy something from a company that is currently going threw 500 million dollars in recalls and had to get bailed out with tax payers money. just my .02

And a company that has a car where you can't go 10k without a major failure is OK.
