Advan 335 d-cat

Hi all
I have always wondered if i remove the ceramic from the dumps what will happen,
1- Will it improve performance ?

Well the short answer is, don't wast your time and money. There is NO improvement in engine performance in fact the dyno plots are exactly the same, before and after.

Best to replace the dumps with a quality fabricated pipe.

Thanks for the R&D into this and reporting back to the market Peter,

I hear the best downpipes are the AR Design ones which fit flawlessly on our RHD cars and the official Australian AR Dealer is selling them in the classifieds section

Yes they are the best, and as an option they can be orderd with a high flow cat
I have orderd the catless AR dumps for my own car.

Having gone through the process of designing a set of these pipes, I would highly recommend you NOT go to your local exhaust place and get them to customise a set. For a one off the fabrication time and cost would be more than an off the shelf item. It is very tight for space where the pipes go, and they have some unique flanges compared to other cars. I do not think that you would be happy with a one off designed set of pipes unless the supplier was prepared to make a loss to provide them.

I would go with the AR.
