eisenmann exhaust section three installed
received my eisenmann ehaust today and installed.
section three only for now. here are pics: and video to sum it all up, i like it very much. only thing that must(and will) go are the tips. just too big for my liking. also fitment still has some adjusting to do. the right side canister appears to be too close to the heat shield and may cause a rattle in the future. also the clamps will be removed and connections will be welded once fitment is to my liking.tips do not fit how i wold like them to,but i was kinda in a hurry to get my install done since im moving to florida next week. not too loud and not unnoticeable while driving, sections one and two may be in my future, well see how it goes. not much droan(sp?) while driving but cabin noise is what i expected from an aftermarkett unit. sorry no cruising shots right now or drive by's. im packing all of my life in boxes preparing for the move, but if i get a chance ill try.

Wow, that sounds MEAN! I can't wait to get this exhaust. Now all I need is a clip of the full exhaust to seal the deal for me. Enjoy it, it sounds great.

Chris or Ryan-
Are you geeting a drone at 2K rpms at part throttle? I just had the 1-3 race kit installed today and it is pure sex. Amazing sound and noticable performance gain in the upper revs w/ Procede. My only gripe is a very loud, low drone effect when cruising at 2k-ish. It's very loud and I dread my GF's reaction when she hears it tonight. |

Welded. I have the drone in all gears at ~2K, or just over, at partial throttle (crusing). The sound is so sublime in every other condition that I might be able to live with the drone. Time will tell, I suppose. |

yeah -mine seems to be in the 2-3k range, but only with light throttle and only in the lower gears. i can live with it. if it starts to annoy me too much ill just sell, but i think no matter what aftermarkett system you buy youll deal with this in some way/shape/form. i agree it sounds better every day so well see how it goes.

I also have Section 3 only and the drone at first was pretty bad. A couple days of driving and the sound is improving. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

There is a break in period on all Eisenmann systems. Which is between 500-1000 miles. The sound will become more consistent and less droning will occur.

You guys are making me start to drool over this exhaust. After driving my bro's 350z with a fujitsubo exhaust (silencer removed, no cats) I now remember why my first mod is always an exhaust. I need to get one of these on order asap. I really want to see some 90mm pics. Anyone have the 90mm tips yet?

Thanks for the link Ryan. The 90mm tips look perfect.
I have another question for you. Would it be possible to order exhaust clamps for sections 1,2,3? I would assume that you would need six clamps. I know that you say to weld it, but I would rather have this be a DIY project then to have to bring the car to some jerkoff to install it since I can't weld.

I wonder if it is getting better because you are getting used to it or is it really breaking in.
I hate the drone and I hope there is a solution to eliminate it so I can run the SR pipes as well. |
