Any shock travel when you are that low?

I am in the same predicament you are. I can not make up my mind. I was originally thinking of BC cause I have used them on my previous cars (not BMW) but I read that they are not that great for our application.

I also am considering the KW V1. Have you made a decision yet? I live in NYC so potholes, bumps and ridiculous roads are an everyday thing for me.

After seeing pics I am either going to get KWV1 or the H&Rs for the $1200 price range or the V3's / TCK true match for the $2k range. Haven't decided yet. I am going to ride in some local member cars who have these set ups...I have already ridden in two TCK with diff spring rates and I am impressed with their handling - esp compared to XI stock...

let me know what you decide!

KW V1
A bit of a rough ride on Toronto roads, but handling vastly improved. No worse of ride than other stock performance vehicles. Should come this way from factory.

I love them and they handle like a dream. I drive them on New York roads, at the height shown. That picture also was before they settled. Would highly recommend them.

i think it's an all-around good choice. go for it.

TCKs won't go as low as the KWV1s even with their 1" shortened struts. Plus, if you're spending that much, why not get ASTs no?

So I finally went with the H&R Coilovers for my XI. Wanted to try the H&R since more people seem to have the KW V1 and V3 and I don't feel like dropping $2k on suspension right now. Just want height adjustment and a modest upgrade from stock. Anything has to be better than stock XI suspension.

I will post up pics of my final set up and review! Thanks everyone for their input - I am sure this thread will help the others looking for an XI coilover solution!

I just installed my H&R Street Performance Coilovers over the weekend and I must say I am pretty impressed. The ride is very comfortable for a DD and it handles really good especially compared to the stock suspension. Install was too bad - BUT I was disappointed that I had to reuse some stock components like the top hat of the front struts. If my buddy didn't have a spring compressor - I would have been screwed!

The only concern I have is that of the rear. I put it no the lowest setting with the entire springs set up in there (it's actually longer than the stock spring with the tender spring in there (the red spring)...for those who have the H&R - did you take the tender spring out to get lower?
