Help Needed on how to code an OEM alarm retrofit on '08 335xi (w/ iDrive)

I am anxiously waiting on my alarm to get here and have been trying to read up on how to code it in order to activate it once I get it installed. I am a beginner programmer/coder at best. I have succesffully enabled some options like digital speedo, roll up windows with Fob, etc., but the posts that I have seen for alarm coding seem to start out mentioning things like VO and $302/K302, blank man file, etc. Sorry, but this doesn't mean much to me (yet). Can someone please tell me how to do this from start to finish after I get all the alarm components installed in the vehichle. I would Greatly appreciate it!

One last comment, I hear you can configure some options for the alarm via iDrive. I don't have any "alarm settings" kind of stuff in the menu. Was wondering how I get those, and then how to find them via iDrive.

If you add dwai to fa new features in aidrive should appear automatic or you need to update them. Adding vo is really simple thing, there is even a diy on forum here

After an extended hiatus waiting on a part from the dealer I finally have everything installed and I am ready to code and need some help. As I mentioned before I have added features to individual modules via the coding DIY guide (digital speedo, etc.), but how do you add VO $302? Can someone please help?

FYI-
After connecting all the alarm components I currently have the blinking clown nose, and I locked my doors with the windows down and put my gym bag in throught the open window and MUCH to my surprise the alarm siren sounded. Didn't expect that till coding was done.

Proper retrofit code is +K302 for Alarm and is what should be used.

Someone new to coding would read that as adding "dwai" to fa.
We just need to make sure our help is clear or we'll have more "what error is this" threads haha

Better to use the +K302 if you go back to the dealer.
The $ shows it came that way from the factory, the K shows retrofit so they won't claim foul play if you have warranty

I added $302 to mine. Does the +K mean something different? I'm guessing maybe added equipment v. factory installed equipment.

Edit: I see you answered that already while I was asking.

^Exactly. The $ show factory options. K words show official retrofits.

I prefer doing it like this since you could potentially throw red flags if suddenly your factory build from 2007 for example changes when they plug in

wilsjay... load NCS.
Use expert mode NOT the custom profile.
After selecting chassis and CAS choose the Enter FA button.
Click ok at the VIN.
Then when the option screen comes up type in +K302
Click ok
Process ECU... CAS... change job to FA_Write. Execute job.
Process next ECU... FRM/NFRM... change job to FA_Write. Execute job again.
Now go back and process car, code car.
Done
