Wanted - 335i Coupe - 15.5k budget

No longer required

Hi,

I've just joined the forum as I'm looking to buy a 335i coupe. I have a maximum of 15.5k to spend with cash in hand.

My requirements are FSH, mechanically sound, excellent condition and less than 60,000 miles. Auto preferred but I would consider a manual if everything else was perfect.

Things I like are:

* m sport (SE considered)
* iDrive
* Black or Red leather
* Grey and black coloured cars
* The more optional extra's the better
* Silver or piano black trim

Things I dislike are:

* I don't like red cars
* I don't like wood interior trim
* Cream or Grey leather

Ideally, I would like a 57 reg or newer efficent dynamics model so it is in the cheaper road tax bracket. A car with non run flats would be great.

I'm based in Manchester but willing to travel for the right car. If your looking to sell your 335i let me know. Links to cars you've spotted which meet my requirements would be fantastic.

Dan

Thanks for the links Edowen.

I've been checking Audotrader every few hours, everyday for the past month and I've already had a look at those you've posted.

The m sport in 2nd link is lovely. I love the alloys (and idea what those alloys are called) and its a good spec. My only concern is I would prefer black leather. Also, I forgot to mention in the original post I dont like the brown wood interior trim. There isn't any interior photos so I don't know if this car has that.

Unfortunately the car is 170 miles away from me. I am willing to travel if a car ticks all the right boxes but this car falls very slightly short. If it was within 60 miles I would of definitely gone for a viewing.

Also, being from the blue side of Manchester I couldn't bring myself to buy a red car.

Hi pjs,

82k miles is higher than I would like.

This car would be perfect. It looks great, Good colour, 57 reg, black leather, good spec and mileage. It's just a shame it's a 330i and not a 335i

Look for the well modded space grey one going on here. I can't do links on the phone app.

A dealer maybe able to change the trim for you.

I know what you mean about finding the right one. I've been looking for a while and have come close to compromising but think id regret it if I did. The 335 seems popular atm.

Do you mean this one

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=Grey+335i

Very impressive mods.

I'd prefer a newer lower mileage example to an older modified example. Stage 1 remap would be sufficient for me. Great car just not for me.

I cant see a link or a pic but i think we're on about the same one. You'll end up modding it anyway but extensive mods can put people off as you fear big repair bills.

Your brief is very specific! It may take you a while to find.

Mine is black, black and black lol. Paint, interior and trim. Lower tax bracket so Sept '07 onwards iirc. Preferably Nav and Bluetooth and DCT would be nice lol.

...if you mean the one you just replied in I don't think that's the one I was on about. The one I'm talking about has even more mods and is within your budget iirc.

The alloys on the 2nd car are 18" MV3's which are standard on M-sport cars although many get upgraded to 19" 225m's.

Thanks Bungle009.

Your right in saying most upgrade to the 225m's. I've just looked at both sets on google images and I thought the 225m's were standard on the m sport.

Fair comment. If everything was perfect then having the interior would be possible.

Hi,

For the time being I would prefer a 57 reg but I will bear yours in mind if none pop up.

PS. A bit of a long shot but my current car is up for sale at the moment and I am willing to offer it in part ex towards a 335i

2008 57 reg Corsa VXR
Arden Blue
27,000 miles
Half leather Recaro's
Full Vauxhall service history (last serviced 5 months ago)
2 almost new barely worn Falken FK452 tyres
MOT until Jan 2013
Price 7200
Join the queue! I'm still on the hunt for a 335i. Been wanting one since last summer and started looking in Jan although haven't really been in a position to buy. I am pretty much ready now though

Im on holiday for 2 weeks in May so probably wont buy until I get back now. It does seem though that not many come up that tick all the boxes so good look with the hunt!

FYI this car is sold anyway.

I was interested in this car, then i found out it has had 5 owners in less than 5 years so was a bit put off. The last owner only had it for 5 months.

That's a long time looking! Let's hope one doesn't come about which we're both interested in. Best of luck with you search.
