Brake pad replacement

My car says that I need to replace front and rear pads. It has done 34k so not bad wear rate, I suppose. Dealer has quoted 396 to do front and rear, kwikfit have quoted 266 and Halfords 237. All prices include wear indicators.

Anyone else got prices from dealer?

I would much prefer to use the dealer. I will also try indi specialist and see what they quote.

I am not a mechanic but I presume changing pads is much the same, one car to another.

Value Service at certain dealers

Reading dealership is part of the Cooper / Inchcape dealer network.

They do fixed price "value service" on assorted tasks.

Worth a look.

Get a haynes manual or follow an online how2. Pads are really so simple to do yourself and save a fair bit of money
