Remember when power windows/doorlocks/sunroof/steering were new "toy" options that we had to pay for? In a way, we have come a long way since then.

But yeah, for the $1900+labour that BMW wants for it, you can get a pretty decent plasma TV for your home.

Thumbs down

It might be a good solution for MPV, E90 is not for that purpose! What a stupid designer come out with a DVD drive just for navigation and songs... The whole damn thing cost RMB36,000 and RMB2,600 for installation! I found out that there is a decoder type of thing will unlock all the DVD feature like playing DVD video and 3rd party navigation map on the i-Drive itself and it only cost around RMB20,000, better than that bulky $$$$$$$ BMW portable DVD solutions.

LOL, look at the pdf, it is a portable player. Granted it is a 10" but we bought my daughter a 7" one that looks almost identical for $138 from QVC.

I put an overhead unit in my Suburban - sourced the parts from eBay including a large housing that relocates the rear AC controls and a 7" Audiovox unit. The housing was the wrong color so I used vinyl paint to make it correct. It looks awesome, better than the stock unit in my buddies '04 and I spent under $400.

$2800 installed! LMAO!
