My dad's been in a situation worse than that and he just stayed calm and waited for the cops to arrive. I feel no empathy for the guy that got run over. Stupid move by the cab driver for running him over, but still don't feel bad or anything for the victim.

When you are surrounded by an angry mob (as retaliation or as an attack) death, yours or someone elses isn't far away. I think cab driver should lose his taxi license / permit and have a criminal record and a sentence to serve in public (no jail). As for the others, (hitting the cab or even encouraging the mob) they should get 10 years jail, parole in 5...

Boy I wish I could be a judge and use common sense.

I've seem this a few days ago, as much as I don't like cab drivers I have to say that I feel sorry for this one. Running people over is not nice, but when you are in this kind of situation is hard to keep calm, plus who know what happened before

The only wise thing is what "Bear Grills" said in the video: I told you guys to getta out of there ! lol

I am not going to say the guy getting run over didn't deserve it, but at the same time the Cab could have easly drove off several times with out running anyone over. I think they both shold get charged

I agree, both parties should get maximum penalty. If the cab driver would have drove off, then those guys would think that they superior and they can do whatever they want. maybe they will mess around with another cab driver next time.

So, both parties should get their maximum penalty and learn a lesson from this.

Unfortunately the cab driver had opportunities to leave... a lawyer will pin point that out to a judge if the cabbie claims this was all in "self defense"... personally speaking im glad he ran the guy over, will teach him a lesson or 2 lol

Assclowns...as much as I don't condone running someone over, I feel bad for the cabbie who will pay for this the hardest. The pedestrians will get a slap on the wrist. Its classic story of machine vs. man and man always looses.

Guy who got run over, that's what happens when your part of assclown parades. Sol dude

the guy wanted to be a tough guy and brave, when he know that the car is a serious weapon that can kill him. it's almost like getting tough with someone pointing a gun at you, there's really no point. the driver did what he had to do

though the cab driver will be liable for running over the guy, i would say the punk truly deserve what he got. he's brave and tough anyway. let's see how tough he is now in his hospital bed. these guys are a "menace of the society." news says punk will most likely get charged as well. let's see how it goes. <-- cab driver stepping on the gas hard while running over the punk

I agree. Sounds like they were looking for trouble and found it, unfortunately dragging cabbie into it.

I have no remorse for the idiot that got ran over!
Its all fun and games until some idiot gets hurt, I'm sure he didn't expect to get ran over, not so tough anymore lol. Thats the problem with people who are only tough because their friends are around.

Not saying I support running over someone but some people just asking something to happen.

If there is an angry mob like that, you need to do whatever it takes to get out, your life can be endangered, he could have wait for the police but sadly sometimes it can be too late.
