No. One is a low quality ricer solution and the other is a proper color change option.

Dip will never have the gloss of paint. Dip can't be buffed. Dip can be blown off with a pressure washer. Other than that it's the same as paint.

Yeah exactly here we go......this is why the forum blows...... "It's paint"---"no it's dip"---"well it's not paint". Who fucking cares man? This guy did something for the hell of it with his boys and posted some pics. I've seen dip jobs better than paint, I've seen wrap jobs better than dip and paint.

I get it he put it up on a public forum which makes it fair game for criticism but shit!!

You are entitled to your opinion, however I think it came out amazing and for whoever said you can't get dip to come out gloss like paint take a look at some of the work Fonzie does at dip your car. Dip has come a long way in the past 5 years.

I like it but thanks for the comment

Op keep doing what you like. There will always be people that look at what you do and hate on it. So many examples of members, on this forum, shitting on what others have done to their cars. To a point criticism is a good thing. It can open your mind to other options or even allow you to have an epiphany and blow your mind. Ignore the blatant "that shit sucks" thinking and carry on. Some of your ideas will be great and others will not be so great. This forum has been a great deal of help in my venture to "mod", repair and upkeep my car. In many cases I have saved hundreds of dollars because of this forum.
Don't be deterred from doing what you like because of some negative comments that you will encounter from the few. At the end of the day............. its your car and your taste. MOD on.

I think dip gets a bad rap because most jobs are done very poorly. Not putting enough film build(product) on is the most common mistake. The more coats the more cost, and most diy are doing it on the cheap. My wheels are dipped, but I see some AWFUL dips come through my job. It can protect your paint and be a nonpermanent color change. It just needs to be done correctly or else it IS ricer. Your pics look good.

Why no close up pics?

Jus' playin OP! I've plastidipped my stock 313m's twice but just removed it for good...not for me anymore. Nothing against the product, the color looks good.. it will at least protect your original paint.

I'm planning on dipping my car, if done properly it can look pretty sick. It's not just all matte white and black nowadays.
