Speedometer Correction

I just got the car and intend to get a cable within the next week.

I plan to do all the basic coding stuff but one item that is driving me insane is how far off the speedometer reads. Car is currently riding on stock size snow tires and is showing 6 MPH high @ 70MPH.

I did a search but didn't come up with anything real useful. Looks like BMW did this by design; I just want an accurate speedometer.

If you activate the digital speed, you can then deactivate the speed corrector

KOMBI module, Func value is V_DIGITAL_KORRECTOR or BC_DIGITAL_V_KORRECTOR depending on model year. Set to nicht_aktiv and your digital speed will show actual vehicle speed not speedometer speed.

I intend to do that...but is there a way to fix the "analog" gauges as well (which technically aren't analog).

Also, will activating the digital speedo and deactivating the corrector impact the cruise setting as well? I'm a cruise control junkie.

I don't think you can do anything about the "analog" speedo. Not sure about the cruise control. I'm just the opposite, I never use it but if I had to take a guess I would say it goes off the corrected analog gauge speed.

That sucks I can't fix the "analog" gauge. Calibrating my truck was so easy (GM vehicle). Using HP Tuners, simply go to the gear ratio/tire size screen, adjust accordingly, re-flash the truck and I was done. GM vehicles probably have the best tuning support of any brand out there, so I'm a bit spoiled in that regard.
